A very good effort this week, without a win. Bat on ball throughout the lineup, with hits and runs in most spots. Further evidence of the improved batting was limiting the strikeouts to one. That’s only the second game we’ve kept the “K’s” that low.
A couple of blemishes in the field saw the score skew away from us and take a few too many pitches to complete the first innings. It could have so easily been 4 all after the first innings, which could have changed the course of the game. It wasn’t to be.
One game to go before the Christmas break. Let’s see if we can confound expectations (and any of Ben’s pessimistic predictions) and finish this potion of the competition with a win.
