TL;DR; An improvement on last time. Still not enough runs / hits; but a lot fewer errors.

I was nice to see Dave back behind a plate, putting in a strong day at the office. His fitness will improve, as will his arm strength with more work. So too will his contribution with the bat.

Far fewer errors this week, saw us conceded far fewer unearned runs. We were definitely in the game the whole way. We needed a breakout innings with the bat to put us in a position to win that game. A more consistent performance between the two halves of the lineup might have made a big difference. It didn’t eventuate, but it wasn’t due to lack of effort.

JJ’s pitching was probably his best game so far – strike percentage just shy of 60 and at least one attempted pickoff. All very positive.

Next game: Bosco (B) v St Pats at Tom Evans 2 on 10:00 Sun (19/11)
