2011 No news is hardly surprising

We have been officially graded in 7th Grade and are to be known as St Pat’s (Green). Unfortunately we still don’t know the day of week or time of day that we will be playing. Why does the association do this every year? Apparently we will be given more news on Thursday. Bad luck for anyone trying to organise their weekend work roster or plan something unimportant like a family activity.

If you have been reading Ivan’s emails, you will know our team roster has been decided. The list of names is as follows:

Michael Carney; Ivan Connors; Adam Faber; Chris Faber; Peter Faber; Mitchell Hows; Steven Lethlean; Andrew Powell; Cameron Powell; David Powell; Michael Powell; Matthew Ray; and Ross Wilcock.

Welcome to our new members – Mitchell, Matthew and Cameron.

Cam’s arrival continues the father son tradition at St Pats, particularly in The Rev’s team. This tradition started with the Pooles, Grant, Tim and Mat, back when the Senior Club was establishing. The Pooles have become the club’s first 3 generation family. Mat’s son Daniel played in the under 8s this last summer. I’m not sure of the chances of getting all generations playing in the same team at the same time. Our father daughter in the same team tradition did start, thanks to the Lethleans, but so far only one season and one family. The club’s young, so there’s plenty of time to work on this. It would be remiss not to mention the Wilcock family in the this context. They have an entirely different tradition with Ross, Angie and Adam all playing seniors. I’m not sure if I remember them all playing at the same time.

It’s all about families.
